Bulk Cement Tank Transport Semi-trailer

Nov 18, 2024

Bulk cement trucks, also known as cement tankers or powder material trucks. A vehicle with enclosed cargo compartments and automatic unloading devices used for transporting bulk cement. Mainly used for cement plants, cement warehouses, and large construction sites, it can save a lot of packaging materials and loading and unloading labor. There are three types of bulk cement trucks, introduction:
① Gravity unloading truck: the earliest bulk cement truck to appear. It is made by adding a sealed cargo compartment roof to a regular dump truck. When unloading, the cargo compartment tilts up and the cement is automatically unloaded by gravity. This method of unloading ash can only unload cement to a position lower than the carriage, causing the cement to fly and a large area of material to fall during unloading.
② Mechanical ash unloading vehicles: began to be used in the 1950s. It uses a screw conveyor installed on a car to unload ash, adjusts the height of the screw conveyor, and can unload cement to different heights while reducing cement flying. However, the ash unloading mechanism is prone to wear due to direct pushing of cement.
③ Pneumatic ash unloading vehicles: appeared in the 1960s and are relatively easy to use. The maximum load capacity of this car is close to a hundred tons. Its cargo compartment is a can type container, standing or lying diagonally on the car frame. The horizontal tank has a lower center of gravity, making it stable for car driving and widely used. The tank body can be welded with steel or aluminum plates, or made of fiberglass. The upper part of the tank has one or more ash filling ports along the length of the tank, making it easy to fill the entire tank. The ash loading port can also serve as an entrance and exit for maintenance personnel. The bottom of the tank is equipped with a cement fluidization device. The car is equipped with an air compressor for unloading ash. When unloading ash, compressed air is sent into the tank from the bottom, and is divided into fine streams by the permeable layer of the cement fluidization device. The cement is evenly filled into the air cement mixture, and the cement is discharged along the discharge pipe under the pressure difference inside and outside the container. The pneumatic ash unloading method has the advantages of fast ash unloading, less dust flying, and the ability to unload at any height and distance using flexible long discharge pipes. It can also be used for outdoor operations in windy and rainy weather.
